Looking forward to HYDERABAD

Its been ages since i wrote a blog, first of all wishing all a big happy new year-2009 which will rock for all of us . 2008 is gone and leaves a sweet memory on a personal front, however, it was not that a great year for fellow citizens. Anyways, as they say look forward to new beginning and do well to remember the bygone days. Perfect recipe for success, you bet.
Made very important decisions on personal front, uprooted from Bangalore to come to Hyderabad, quit my company of 4 years to join Deloitte. I had few very exciting offers from other big companies, but my indecisiveness and some other delays tilted the scale in Deloitte's favor. I will not regret it though. But some how , Bangalore is sorely missed by both of us. At Deloitte, no perceivable difference in salary and position, although a great opportunity to unlearn things and start seeing things in new light.
First few days at Deloitte have been very eventful, induction , introduction to new colleagues . Let us see whether what does the future holds for me.
I will start full fledged work next week, got a meeting on monday which will set the tone for the rest of week. I do hope I get a chance to show case my skills at the earliest.
First impressions of Hyderabad- This city has the best biryani in the world and one of my dream institutes as well. No prizes for guessing which one i am talking about.
I will explore more of this city and report( write abt it ) next week.
By the way , before i sign off, my new year resolution,
DO IT NOW- DON'T LEAVE IT FOR NEXT HOUR, TOMORROW, NEXT WEEK, NEXT MONTH AND NEXT YEAR.
This looks easy guys, but believe me this is ain't so easy. You will have to run against the time to do all that is expected on that day. Try it yourself if you differ.
Plan for this year
Financial Liability to be cleared- have couple of them, can get rid of them by June, if all goes well
Prepare for PGPs- I need to improve on my GMAT- 660 is not good, i need to cross 730, let us see
Excel at Deloitte- This should be easy although i need to earn it.

So mates, what is your plan?
Check out this space next weekend for more
Ciao,RB

I am married guys....its a strange feeling...
I miss my ciggis but i dont miss my breakfast any more. I miss my down two peg on a weekday ..but i dont miss the morning hug and kiss any more.
Its good to be married and better to be happily married...although you have to be lucky.
Padma, my dear wife, is trying to come to terms to the disinterested frown that I sport always now-a-days. I don't know whether she will visit this page ever..but i want to proclaim my undying love for her.
Very few have survived my method to madness in past...she has in it I guess..

Next week i will talk about how to succeed in doing nothing for one week and still feeling great 'bout the week that was...

Till then let me finish my draught beer...

Bachelorhood Ahoy!!

As i embark upon my journey to Bhagalpur, silk city, from Bangalore on the Jet lite Flight , reflecting on what will be the last week as a bachelor,Pre-marital pangs are already spooking me and am getting jittery and loosing my sleep on the murder of my bachelorhood.
But on the sunny side ,when i see the smiling pic of my fiance , looking straight into my eyes it more than beckons me to cross over as soon as possible.

I am sure guys , all of you would feel the same when ever you will or have already gotten in this situation and i look up to each one of you to comfort me in my moment of truth.
I heard over from some chaps that it is like the first shot of vodka, you would not know and you would be already drunk, tripping here and there.
Although,i would have wanted the transition more like the whisky, atleast i would have known what am i getting into.
For the time being, it is the love of my life, my better half, who will be the center of my universe. I would decide to fit in others as and when they happen/come.
Any ways, i have promised my self to keep posting regularly on the BLOG for next few months. Lets see if my BOSS also thinks so and provides much needed cereberal break from the monotony of proposals and presales.

Till then " say a lil prayer for me"

PS : I completed this one on board Tufaan Expresss, sipping on to my pepsi in an AC 3 Tier coach surrounded by strange characters. The guy next to me tries hard to read what i am typing in and i am already worried about copyrights issue of my blog. Another one is a stately man who is all gung ho about how close he is to Laloo Yadav. Not that this is not common in Bihar, every TDH loves to relate himself to High and Mighty and Laloo is to Bihar what Kutub Minar is to Delhi. Another is an over friendly bengali family , going to Jasidih. This would have been perfrct setting for an anthropology practical class. I am enjoying every bit of it.
